Late 20s definitely feels like the age of major milestones. In the next seven months, our friends and family members will be welcoming just as many babies. In addition, my boyfriend and I attend about three or four weddings a year (with many more that we’re unable to make it to). That makes for a whole ton of baby showers, bachelorettes, engagement parties and all sorts of celebrations. The only downside is that these events are often scheduled on the same days.
While attending an out-of-town wedding this summer I missed my friend’s baby shower. Because I couldn’t be there in person to welcome her new little one, I sent along some decorations to try to help out and be there in spirit. Here are a few of the items I sent along to make her day extra special:
Wildflower Hearts – purchased from here
These are great party favours that guests can plunk in soil when they get home and watch beautiful wildflowers grow.
Cupcake Toppers – purchased from here
A little girly and a little regal, these are a great way to dress up sweet and simple cupcakes or treats.
Pastel Straws – purchased from here
A nice addition to a drink station. I like to fill mason jars with straws, cutlery, napkins and beverage garnishes to make it a one-stop-shop.
Heart Garland – homemade
This garland is simple to make. I used a cookie cutter to trace the heart shape and cut them out individually. Hole punch each side and string ribbon or twine through. It folds together nicely and can be used for all sorts of occasions.
